By sorting I have the data in correct order in the power pivot also the dates are appearing in date power pivot. (function new measure)

Now I want the calculate the time difference between the days as Excel networkingdays.intl

Hi Dick,

No file attached. You have to press the yellow 'start upload' button to complete attaching the file.

Hello I have solved my problem by using the measure function =MAX([Begindatumtaak]) made a pivot tabel and the copy/paste it into the dashboard file.

Works fine now I only want the get it all automaticlly done.

Thank you

Sorry I didn't see that you'd uploaded the file, but I'm glad you found a solution that gets you part of the way.

I had a look at your file. It's not clear what the problem is and what you're hoping to see as the result. If you now have a measure that works in your PivotTable, why can't you embed the PivotTable in your dashboard? Perhaps you can share your latest file and show us what you're preferred result is? We can try to help you from there.

Hallo Myanda

Appreciated that you took time too look to my file.

I will attach two file one as power pivot and one with the dashboard and the calculation.

This file will used by a company to see the progress of an administration.

With this file we aim to reduce the throughput days to less than 30 working days

Master book file

In this file I transfer a file that comes from the computer system into a pivot table with dates.

“Ruwedata” is the computer file total file can be over 10000 lines at the end of the year.

“Masterdata” is the pivot table that I copy and paste. I use the =MAX([begindatumtaak]) formula to get the date in the pivot table otherwise I only get the count

Takenomschriving dick rev6

Is the file that is publish to all employees and contains the dashboard. Including the “masterdata”

Form that sheet I make the “basis data” and the “doorlooptijd” sheet.

Of course, also the dashboard. No fancy yet because all is still in progress.

If you have any suggestions to improve and to make it better it would be very helpful.

Hi Dick,

You should connect to your master to extract data and reformat it, using power query.

Attached is an example of converting your horizontal format to a tabular format. In Source sheet, you can type the path to your master data file, then in Reformatted Data sheet you can right click the table and click Refresh to extract and reformat data from that master data file.

You can even add calculated columns to this query, to get your desired results. Using measures applied to this format, you can get to the same results as with formulas, but in a more structured and reliable way.

Regards,

Catalin
