Some dates not showing up in power query

I have 2 years data (2023 - 2024) however, the month of April shows only dates from 9th onwards. The source file is a csv but if I save in xls and load to the power query, all dates show. All the other files are in csv and working well. Only date 1 to 9 does not show up for April.

What could be the problem? I have tried making a fresh file with external sample data but still the same is the month of April is used.Capture.JPG

Difficult to diagnose the problem without seeing the CSV file. Could you upload one that contains April 2023 data? When you open the CSV file in a text editor like Notepad, do you see data for April 1 to 8? Perhaps these particular dates come in a wrong format and when you set the column to a Date, these could return "Error". If you then have an aPplied Step that removes errors, that might be the cause.

PQ does not hide/remove rows without you telling it to do so by setting a filter.

Nothing wrong with this file. All April dates are in it and I can get them into Excel and PQ without issues.

You wrote that you open the CSV in Excel and then save it as xls. Do you really mean xls? Try xlsx in stead. But why would you save it to xlsx first if PQ can connect to the CSV directly. There is no need for this extra step.

Yes, the dates are just fine in the file but after loading in the power query, from date 1 to half of date 9 don't show up, just as in the first screen shot.

In the power query editor, you will see errors in the date even after putting all dates in the correct format.

Sorry, but I can't replicate that behavior. I connect to the CSV, set the correct date format and all dates remain in the file. Perhaps you can upload a file containing the query that you are using.
