My queries are not loading. I’ve read that too many steps can cause this but how many are too many? It’s Office 365 with a 64-bit processor.

I can't find a published limit for the number of steps. But if there was on, I'd imagine it would be in the 100's or 1000's.
It'd be better if you share your query so we can check it out.

I haven’t experienced a problem like this when getting data from an Excel file which is a table that is updated with new data regularly. However when I obtained from a Folder and made about 40-80 transformations, this happened. Thanks for your response.
And, from Tables there are many more transformations applied. There are actually less with the Folder option.
