Hi I am looking for tips for importing xml files.

I have stepped through the process using import from xml, but i Have more than one table in the structure and I seem to drop some of the data.

I have opened the file directly in Excel and this gives me the best version of the data so far, but the structure is still not clean as far as I tell.

I have also opened the file in Xml notepad so I can get a view of the structure.

I am aiming to import a number of files from a folder as my end goal. I am happy to convert to xlsx first if I can get a good conversion, or directly from xml.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

Peter

Hi Peter,

When you import the file you should get a dialog that allows you to choose the tables in the XML file. Do you see more than one table? If not, you can import the file twice and get the two (or more) sets of data one at a time.

It's a bit difficult to give you specific tips without seeing the file and knowing what you want to extract from it. If you can share the file we're happy to take a look.
