Hello,

Is it possible to use the result of a query that make a connection to an Oracle Database and which is of the type connection for making a pivot table.
Is it normal that i get the message You cannot refresh a query of the type connection when I want to refresh the query. I want to do this after changing some variable in a previous query.

Thank you

Hi Marc,

In later versions of Excel you can Close & Load to PivotTable report. This loads the query data into the Pivot Cache for building PivotTables on. If you don't have this option in the Close & Load menu then you can load as Connection Only and 'Add to Data Model' and build Power Pivot PivotTables from the data.

As for the refresh error, I suspect that's not the official error, so I can't troubleshoot for you. Please provide a full size screenshot of the error message so i can read it, or paste the error text in here word for word.

Mynda
