Hi Cătălin,
And thanks for not giving up!
1. Ok, so indeed macros have to be activated. The welcome page could request activating the macros. Yes, that is a good solution which would even show off how well thought it is. I am sure you would help me here, but it is in VBA territory where I am not really at home.
2. PQ update did not make any change. And it is clearly not a PQ issue. I think it is a SUBTOTAL issue. Probably because SUBTOTAL is designed for vertical processing and not horizontal. On the net there are some articles about SUBTOTAL interfering with autofilters of tables.
3. Excel version might make a difference. But I am on 2013 and can't change this for the moment.
4. I found AGGREGATE as alternative to SUBTOTAL. Never heard of it, but it seems to have advantages against SUBTOTAL (e.g. it can ignore #N/A). And it seems not to interfere with the autofiltering. I added it first to the demo file and now also to the real file and it seems to work. Hope you like the solution!
Case closed.
Thanks a lot,
Matthias
