Hi
I created a table (namely table9) in a worksheet that is giving me a headache. Every time I try to filter, remove rows etc in Power Query Editor, it gives me Expression.Error: The key didn't match any rows in the table (screenshot attached).
When I check 'Source' in Power Query Editor, I see table9 listed under 'Item' along with other tables but it disappears ( The table is empty) when I click the table9. To get around it, I refresh the query then table9 reappear. Refresh is required every time adding a step in Power Query Editor. This is the only table that I am having a problem with and hope to find a way to fix it, please.
Thank you
LN
Hi Luna,
This error usually means that the column headers in the source data have changed/are different to what they originally were when the query was set up.

Hi Mynda,
What is confusing is that nothing has changed at all. The source data is created just once, nothing changed - file is closed. Table9 is listed in Power Query editor, then it disappears saying that the table is empty when I click it. Then I 'refresh', table9 comes back so I can filter rows, then try deleting rows etc, it disappears again then refresh once again, then table9 comes back. I have not touched the source data at all. This is the only table that I am having trouble with...
Thanks again,
LN
Hi Luna,
If you provided your workbooks it'd be easier to see what is going on. We also don't know how the source file and table are generated/modified.
But, you'll get this error if the source table no longer exists or has been renamed.

Phil
Have you tried rebuilding that query from scratch? Have you tried rebuilding it in a separate file. It sounds like something has become corrupted in the current query/file.
