Just converted to Office 2019 from 2016. I have an existing PQ that has always worked perfectly. I recently refreshed the data set, ran the existing PQs, and this is what happens when I load the data: Some of the dates are formatted correctly as dates - but some are formatted as numbers (codes). This never happened with Excel 2016. Help and thank you.

Hi Anna,

Those numbers (codes) are Excel date serial numbers. This is how the date is stored in Excel. All you need to do is apply a date format to those cells and they'll display as dates.

You should also check that the data type on the date columns is 'Date'.

I get this from time to time too. I'm not sure why it happens.

Thanks so much, Mynda. Never happened to me before. I did end up formatting the column in Excel after I ran the PQ. Only way I could get the date format correct on those cells. Thanks for responding.

Anna
