Power Query has revolutionised my use of Excel! However, I have one spreadsheet that loads data from six different external files which are then all merged together on a daily basis. Is there any way that Excel can show the relationship between these queries (as in the visual data model of access)? If not, I guess naming the contributing queries such that it becomes obvious that they are subservient to the final query is the best solution.

Hi Trevor,

There are no relationships in Power Query.

However, if you load the query results to Data Model, you will be able to create relationships between different tables like in access.

Thanks Catalin but all I wanted was a visual relationship of how 6 connections were used and merged into one query. Really just for my memory. I  will sort that by using appropriate query titles then.

Hi Trevor,

Go to the View tab in the Power Query Editor > Query Dependencies. Hope that's what you want. Note: only available in 365 versions of Office as far as I know.

Many thanks Mynda!  Exactly what I was looking for! I've never had a good memory and at 70+ I can't say it's improving Smile so this is a real help when coming back to it after a while.
