Hello,

I am trying to use my existing query from excel and using that same query in PowerBI. For some reason when I do copy and paste the query in PowerBI it shows on the editor. But when I click on close and apply, the field is empty. Any thoughts on why that is? And how I can get my table to load ?

Hi,

You write "the field is empty". What field are you referring to? Is the Excel query by any chance connecting to a local table/data range? Once you make sure that the query in PBI connects to the correct (same) source as the one you have in Excel it should all work.

Sorry, but I'm unable to test this myself. Perhaps someone else here can help out.

You could try importing your Excel file into Power BI instead. This will bring in the queries and data model if you have one. File tab > Import.
