Please, could anyone else, tell me how is the best path to change the text to number or vice-versa?
I´ve been trying to use the Transform with local figures, but it´s not working.
The 1st file has the column data in numbers and letters along with numbers, the 2nd one only in numbers, for example:
File 1: File 2:
Material: Material:
L53072L18 192000
71547 123457
1234 100200
00123457 1002003
EF123456 2001001
After the conversion, my attempt to merge the files with the Material column (I just have this attribute to merge both), it´s showing the message: 0 matches to xxxx rows.
I´m struggling to find a better conversion and then merge, but, I really appreciate if someone knows how to resolve that.

Hi Adriana,
Since File 1's Material column contains both letters and numbers you need to set the data type as text. Therefore, you'll also need to set the data type for File 2's Material column to text, so they are the same data type.
I hope that helps. If not, please provide the sample data. You can put the data from files 1 and 2 into separate sheets in the same file for this purpose.
