Hi, my power query (pq) is calculating all the staff bonuses. The % changes each year. What I want is a table with one line in excel that I can update with the new bonus % and I want my pq to get the % for it's calculations from that.

So, there's no relationship as such, just a cell I can update that will draw into the pq. Does that make sense?

In Excel I'll have

Bonus: 5%

In the power query I want

Person 1 5%

Person 2 5%

etc.

So I can update the 5% and it recalculates for everyone.

Hi MC,

Load the table containing the bonus value to Power Query, then drill down to the bonus cell: select the cell > right-click > drill down. Then reference that value in a calculated column in the salaries table to calculate the bonus. See example file attached.

Thank you for the response Mynda! I still can't seem to get it to work, but I need to play around with what you've sent for a little while first. So I'll get back to you! Thanks again!
