I need to remove a prefix from a part number, the prefix is the series/family or the part number. The suffix always starts with a letter, it may contain 1 number and/or a hyphen, always ends with a letter, and is anywhere between 2 and 6 characters in length. After this suffix immediately follows letters.
The first photo should show a few of the various suffix' and there series/family. The second photo should show some of the part numbers.
My ultimate goal is to match the part number with the series. FYI these are 2 different tables.

If you can supply the file, or at least a good representative sample of the data in a file, you'll find you get a quicker response. If we have to recreate your data that takes time and is prone to error.
