Access to Power Query in Citrix environment

Hi

I have asked for access to Power Query at work and received a call today to say it is not possible at this stage. Our work environment is Citrix so everything is done virtually (I certainly don't have a good grasp of the implications of this) and I was told that Power Query (and Power Pivot - to which I have been given access) drastically affect the performance in Cirtix so it won't be available unless a large number of people ask for it.

Has anyone else had this issue and been able to get around it? I have been using Power Query at home and it could be very helpful at work - very frustrating if it won't be available. Unfortunately at home I don't have easy access to the database and other files.

Thanks

Ewan

That's a shame, Ewan. I'm not aware of Citrix performance being affected by Power Query. You might want to do some Google searches for evidence around this claim.
