Windows 10 is not listed as a compatible operating system. I could do more searching on the topic but is there a time line out there? I saw a post on another forum that a windows 10 user said that he was able to use the functionality but thought you would know more.

I'm not sure where you're seeing that, but I have Windows 10 and Power Query works just fine for me. On the Power Query download page it says certain operating systems are 'supported', but that doesn't mean it won't work with other operating systems, just that they won't support it if something goes wrong!
But with that all said, I'd say this is an oversight. I'll email Microsoft to bring it to their attention so it can be updated. I have Windows 10 and Power Query on 4 PC's and all work fine.

To confirm, the official response from Microsoft is the download page should list Windows 10 as a supported operating system. They're going to add it to the page as they definitely support PQ in Windows 10.
