Hi,
I have some workbooks that I need to send out where the data has been derived from Power Queries. The queried data is returned to worksheet tables. I want to remove the queries before distribution. I tried the Inspect Document option under the Prepare for Sharing option option. I selected to remove all Custom XML data but I had reports that users keep seeing the query pane showing to the right of the worksheets and can't close it.
Are there any better ways to do this anyone can recommend.
Thanks
Bax
Hello,
Go to Data tab and click Queries & Connections, from this view you can remove the queries.

Hi Bax,
If you want to retain the data the query placed in the worksheet but disconnect the table from the query and remove it, then you'll want to just right-click the table > Table > Unlink from Data Source. Then you can remove the query as Anders describes.

Hi,
Thanks for the replies. Is there any way to remove the queries and unlink from the Data Sources en masse? I have quite a few queries and data tables and need to distribute the reports on a daily basis so I am trying to expedite the process.
Thanks
Bax
Hi Bax,
Maybe you can record a macro to do it, otherwise there is mention of cleaning the custom xml data in the document inspector, but I'd take a copy of the file first.
