Thanks for your reply (sorry for posting in the wrong place). I will revert to the old method of querying from Folder, that seems to work for me. With the new video method, when I click on the Binaries I can only see one table, even though there are 51 excel workbooks in the folder. All workbooks have only one tab, but tab name may not be different for each workbook. - Any suggestions to trouble shoot this would be helpful. I did watch both of the videos, but can't seem to figure out why clicking on the binaries doesn't open all the files for me.
Hi Cheryl,
There is an updated video for tutorial 2.05 From Folder. Please review the tutorial again. The old tutorial is also on that lesson page so you can compare what you see in your version of Excel and figure out which process to follow.
If you're still having problems please raise a new thread in the forum but this time post it in the Course Members - Power Query forum. This thread is in the non-member forum so if I refer to tutorials it can be confusing for those who aren't course members.
Thanks,
Mynda
Hi Cheryl,
If the old method works then this means you're still running the old version of Power Query. With the old version you can't just click on the double down arrow for the binaries when importing Excel files.
With the new version of Power Query they made it so you can do this.
If you want to use the new method then you need to download and install the new version of Power Query. Otherwise you have to stick to the old method.
Make sense?
