Hi folks-I have a question about what happens you filter an existing data set and then close and load to a new table.  I work in  facility with ten clinics, and I am only interested in evaluating the data the data from five.   When I filter out the the five I do not wish to see, I then close and load a new table.  I then run pivot tables on the reduced dataset.  The issue I am having is that when I use a slicer on the data related to the pivot table, it is showing me all ten clinic names.

I am doing something incorrectly?  Am I misunderstanding what filtering and loading does in a new table?  I do not see any rows of data that do not belong in the set, but the slicer continues to list the all of the clinics.

Any ieas or info you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Check the pivot table options, data tab: retain items deleted from source is usually set to automatic. Change to None.
