In creating dynamic variables, I am confused about the first query and it's purpose. You had stated that it was used to create the variables but I don't see how the tables use the query? What am I missing?
Hi Jessica,
I'm not sure what you mean by 'how the tables use the query'. What tables?
In the first example I'm not creating a dynamic variable. They're hard keyed exchange rates that can be referenced in calculated columns etc.
In the second example the variables are dynamic because they are calculated based on the student test scores. If the student test score data gets updated, then the variables will automatically (dynamically) update.
I hope I understood and that clarifies things, but by all means come back if anything isn't clear.

Thank you Mynda!
I was over thinking it! I guess that's what I get for multitasking. After reading your answer I went back and re-watched the video for the 4th or 5th time and it finally clicked. Thanks again, I really appreciate all of your hard work and the fun and enthusiasm you convey with Excel!
