Hi Mynda, Phil and fellows,

I've built a data model to help my future son-in-law pull horse racing data into a hobby-model he uses from the website of the Racing Times, which gives data on last race results and general form.

It works with mixed results on my windows PC - I have to close down and re-boot  to avoid some sort of 'time-out' error which I don't understand. But he has a Mac Book - and it just doesn't run on that at all. Are there problems running Power Query models built on MSFT on Apple?

I attach the file. Please don't spend long on this, it's just my attempt at practically putting into use stuff I've learnt from your brilliant courses. But Apple may be beyond me.

Thanks for any help you can give, I much appreciate the value you give back.

Hi Simon,

Excel for Mac doesn't have Power Query's full functionality yet. It is currently only able to refresh connections to local Excel and CSV/Text files. It'll be some time before it's able to handle a query like the one you've built.

Your son-in-law could install Office for Windows on a virtual machine he installs on his Mac...or buy a PC!
