Hi
I've watched heaps of videos and Googled this but can't find anything to help.
I have a "table" of data from an accounting system. The first column contains what should be in the first three columns. For the third of these there is then a number of lines, which is not always the same.
I need to get it into a proper table format. I've attached a small sample screenshot. In the actual workbook there are close to 100 of each of these, starting at the line that starts "Purchase Order #POCC.
Is there a transformation expert that can help me to get PQ to put the first three lines in separate columns?
Thanks!
Mardi
Where did the attachment go? Ugh not my day today with computers!
Hi Mardi,
It's difficult to help with a screenshot. Please copy an extract of the data to a sample Excel file that you can share with us. Also include an example of the desired result so we can see before and after views of the data.
What's not clear from the screenshot is whether those first 3 rows occur again in the column for the next set of data.
Thanks,
Mynda
