Hi - I have a problem where I create a power pivot chart - this works fine for some time. I can save and close the file and reopen and all is well. Then suddenly, I open the file one day and the chart is no longer linked to the data - when I click on the chart the Field List does not come up and there is no option to Show Field List either. If I chose "select data" I can see the data in there - hard coded as it were. A pivot table I have on the same sheet looking at the same data still works fine - so it seems to be chart specific issue. This is a major pain!
Slicers can no longer see the chart as an object to control.
I can of course recreate the chart, but that's not the point.
Your help would be much appreciated.

Hi Jim,
I'd not heard of this issue before but I managed to find this post suggesting it is a bug with an older version of Power Pivot. You've not said what version you're using, so perhaps this is the case for you too. Can you update Power Pivot to see if that fixes the issue?

Hi Mynda - thanks for your reply. I'm using Office 365 so I'm pretty sure the add-in will be automatically updated. Is there a separate way of updating power pivot?

Are you saving a copy of the file? Are other users opening the file and saving it?
If you can figure out the cause and reliably reproduce it and share the file with me, then I can report it as a bug with Microsoft.
