Hi.

I need to be able to take Total Cost from Total Budget by Budget Line, but Calculated Field is greyed out and I can't for the life of me work out a way round it.  I've managed to create a measure, but that takes the Total Cost from the Total Budget but doesn't allow me to break it down by Budget Line.  Can anyone tell me where I've gone wrong - I'm just going round in circles right now?!

I've attached a copy of the Worksheet and any advice is hugely appreciated!!

Thanks

Tracey

Hi Tracey,

I can't see anything wrong with what you've done. If you add the Budget Balance measure to your PivotTable in column A of the BudgetByExpenPivots sheet, you'll see it broken down by Budget Line.

Note: calculated fields aren't available with Power Pivot PivotTables. Instead you write DAX measures.

Oh no!  It looks like I totally failed to thank you for your response - sorry and thank you!  Sometimes it just takes someone pointing out the obvious!
