I am trying to do a variance calculation by row - it would be easy to do it by column but I can't figure out how to do the variance below by Category. Below is what the PivotTable looks like and underneath it should show:
Variance
Var - Cat 1
Var - Cat 2
Var - Cat 3
Var - Cat 4
Any ideas?
Row Labels | Sum of Feb |
Sales | 1,628,533 |
Sales - Cat 1 | 65,380 |
Sales - Cat 2 | 141,893 |
Sales - Cat 3 | 467,602 |
Sales - Cat 4 | 953,657 |
COGS | 571,379 |
COGS - Cat 1 | 33,253 |
COGS - Cat 2 | 39,397 |
COGS - Cat 3 | 126,436 |
COGS - Cat 4 | 372,294 |

Hi Danielle,
Welcome to our forum! I'm having trouble visualising your source data, but have you tried right-clicking a value in the Sum of Feb column > Show Values As > Difference From?
