I am selecting a date column in my DATA tab in Power Pivot. From that I selected "Date Table" - New.

The table resulting starts in year 1899. 

The dates are formatted as a date, and the years go from 2014-2019 For now, I've filtered out preceding years.

I don't understand why the year is doing this. I double checked the data.

Any help is appreciated.
