Hi

I have a question-I am filtering out data in a power pivot model, but when I go to the slicer that data option continues to show in the slicer.  Is there any way to get rid of those slicer options?  I know in a regular pivot table, you can go to the pivot table options window and go to the data table and click the none option in the retain field, but that option is greyed out in the Power Pivot Options window.

Anybody have any ideas?

Thanks,

Matt~

Hi Matt,

Slicers don't work like that. You have to be able to select any item in the Slicer. The only way you can hide items that are filtered out is if they're hidden as a result of a different Slicer. e.g. you have a region slicer and a city slicer. If you select the North region you can set the city slicer to only display cities for the North region and hide all other cities. These settings are accessed by right-clicking the slicer > Slicer settings. There you can choose to 'hide items with no data'.
