I've been working thru the exercises for CUBE functions in the PowerPivot course. Exercise 12.02 has me a bit stumped with the Grand Total. It is the same result as your sample one which also doesn't seem to match.
For example in the Jan column I used =CUBEVALUE("ThisWorkbookDataModel","[tblDates].[MonthName].["&C$27&"]",$B$27,Slicer_Year) which gives me and you 1,970 but if you look at the values for each Province in Jan the and just select the numbers the total is 23,152. Why?
Seem to have the same problem when I converted the Pivot Table into formulas.
An explanation would be helpful.

Great to see you're practicing. The CUBE formulas in this example are finding the average, therefore the Grand Total is the total average. Note that it's not the average of each region's average i.e. average of averages, it's the average of the total order amounts.
