I'm trying to join a dimension table to a fact table but have to put in an extra step because of the structure of the tables but I keep getting messages that there are duplicate values in the columns I'm trying to join but I've confirmed there are no duplicates in the lookup table. Any other tips on what to look for?

Hi Adele,

I'd say if it's telling you there are duplicates then there are. Are you able to share the file? Or at least the 3 tables in question? You could post just the key columns in an Excel file. They don't have to be in the data model. There's not much more I can do without seeing the data.

You were correct, I double checked and found duplicate values in the lookup table. I'll check with the folks who take care of the source data to see what's happening.
