- I take my daily inputs for Column 1 Date, Column 2 Source, and Column 3 Count of source events.
- I create a pivot table where my dates are the columns and my sources are the rows.
- I sum the counts and get a table that shows the daily counts for each source and a total by source for the month. (So far, so good!)
- I also want to show the average for each source for ONLY the whole month.
- For the rest of my table, I only want the daily sum, not a daily sum and a daily average.
- When I put both "sum" and "average" in my values quadrant for the pivot table, the result gives sum and average values for each day in addition to the grand total columns.
- How should I do this?
- PS, if I probably need to switch the table so that dates are my "rows", I'm ok with that, but I still have the same question....
- PSS, if this is covered in the videos somewhere, can you please provide me the lesson number(s)?
- Thanks in advance!

Hi Marilyn,
Not quite, but this post might give you an acceptable solution: http://www.powerpivotpro.com/2014/01/grand-total-mania-totals-at-top-multiple-totals/

Thank you -- I will give it a go. Reading the post, I believe it will be very helpful and is definitely a lot closer than what I was able to [not] find through my own attempts at searching the web. Thanks for providing this forum!
