Oddly, when following this course in Excel 2016 the Paste option in PP window is dimmed. I tested in the pp_3_regions workbook and it works but not between workbooks. Have I missed a step?

Resolved by duplicating the worksheet 'Regions' and then copying and pasting table.

I am having the same problem with 2016.  The Paste button is dimmed out.  Suggestions??

Did you try copying from the same workbook that the Power Pivot model is in?

I had the same issue. I tried duplicating the worksheet. I tried pasting it into the same workbook that the PP model is in, then copying it from there. Neither of these worked.

I ended up just importing the sheet as an Excel file.

I presume you're using Excel 2016 like those above, Susan as it's working for me in 365.
