I cannot recreate the line chart (the second visual) following the example because there is a hierarchy for date. When I select visit count and date I get one data point on a line chart with 2019. Could it be the version of PBI I am using? Version: 2.87.1061.0 64-bit (November 2020)

Hi Bill,
You can remove the date hierarchy by clicking on the drop down for the date field in the Axis labels list.
If that doesn't work, please share a screenshot.
