Date field in Power BI

I am having trouble managing the date field in building out a dashboard. I have a table with a number of fields including a column for Order #, Date Posted, and Market (type of order such as online or autoship).

I want to build a table, line graph, and bar chart that has aggregated "Order #"Date-issue-Power-BI-6-20-19.PNG counts by "Date Posted" for each "Market". I solved this problem in Excel pivot table by putting date in the column. When I go to Power BI with original table, it separates date into year, quarter, day and aggregates by year. I would like by day, with month and year denoted.

Thanks!

Hi Jason,

You should remove the automatic date grouping, and add your own Year/Month/Quarter/Day columns to the original data.

Best way is to have a calendar table connected with the data table.
