Dear All,

Can anyone please explain me how to calculate number of work hours in excel for below examples:

1. Time in  4:00 am 1/1/2021
    Time off 6.00 am 2/1/2021

2.  Time in  8:30 am 1/1/2021

    Time off  8.30 am 2/1/2021

Thank you
Navoda

Hi Navoda,

Welcome to our forum. calculating times between a start and end time on different dates is explained in this post under the heading "Shift Work Timesheets and Overtime".

If you get stuck, please come back and upload a sample Excel file illustrating the problem.

Hello,

There are no formulas in your file. For simplicity, do add dates with your time, then it all works fine.

Anders
