Hi everyone!
I am new here but a longtime follower of the site.

Now to my problem:

I have spent countless hours trying to personalize the Ultimate Personal Budget Sheet. I get to the point of adding the first "Pivot Table," and the system locks up. I left the sheet open overnight, and it finally seems to have completed the task.

My question is should it take hours for a table to finish loading?  I have never had this problem with other Pivot Tables.  I felt like it was reading data that wasn't there, my spreadsheet is not that large.

That doesn't sound like 'normal' behaviour. But it's difficult to assess the cause without seeing your file and knowing what Excel version you are on and the hardware (platform, operating system) you use.

I am using 365 a quite new high-performance PC (gaming).  I solved the problem by taking a blank sheet and starting from scratch.  All is working pretty well, now!  The Pivot table has loaded.

One small issue is with the "Expense" Chart.  The values are on the right side and I can't figure out how to put them on the left side of the chart. Copy attached.

 I want you to know I am not new to this, so I am surprised at how I have been struggling with this project. When I look at it, the template is a pretty straightforward workbook. I have built many much more complicated spreadsheets, going all the way back to Visicalc! I can't recall this number of problems—I guess I am just getting old and dottery.

Thank you for your patience and help.
Mike

@bogatyrs

So you are about my age 🙂 I started on SuperCalc in the early 80-ies of the previous century.

Right-click on the Y-axis, then Format Axis and look for Labels, Labels position. Make sure that they are set at "next to axis" or "low", but not "high".
