Hi everyone!

I have a doubt about if exists any Excel formula to translate something for portuguese to english and spanish, for example?

Typically, when we prepare a presentation for stakeholders, is common to present in different languages, so it is very useful. Can you help me please? See attach for example.

Thanks

If you have a database like you attached, VLOOKUP may solve the problem.

Hello Hava,

As Clark mentions, you can easily do such by using a list or table where you have the different words or sentences listed.
I have created a small example file for you just to show you a simple approach.

If you want to learn more then there is a nice article by Mynda here.

Hi Thanks you both!

But if I don´t have any list? I want to create a input in portuguese and automatically translate to English? Is it possible?

Thanks,

HY

Hi Hava

Your question is not very clear to me (maybe even to Clark and Anders).

Do you want to translate the word automatically upon entry? Do you want to translate a single word or a whole sentence? There are so many questions.

If you just want to translate just a few words (which is what we thought you wanted) then you can try using auto-correct.

You can even use the search and replace function to do that.

Excel too have a Translate option from tab Review - Translate. You can see if any of the above helps.

Since you did not provide enough info, it is very difficult to give you an answer whether it is possible or not.

I would suggest that you include an Excel attachment with enough info/data for us to see what you really wanted.

Sunny
