I write an instruction on using the subtotal function and ran into this issue.

What's te difference (if any) between Subtotal(9,range) and Subtotal(109,range)?

I thought it had to do something with counting in tables, but that doesn't seem so.

Maybe it's just a compatibility thing with older versions of Excel? I mostly nowadays use the 109 but want to be able to explain this.

Anyone?

EDIT: found it in the help (mostly don't use that one, sorry). The 1-11 counts also the manually hidden rows and the 101-111 don't count them. 

That's the whole thing I believe.
