Hi Forum,
I am trying to complete a Stock Portfolio spreadsheet to provide snapshot (dashboard) of my holdings and portfolio performance.
I am hitting a wall when trying to chart my portfolio performance over time. Specifically this is to do with the Stock Data Type and it's Price attribute.
For example (at time of order fill):
Apple Inc (AAPL) price was $331.24 (1.24656 USD/GBP = £257.36)
Unilever PLC (ULVR) price was p4,339 which is in pence, so £43.39
I am having an issue with summing the column in a pivot table/chart as it is summing the pence (GBp) value, e.g. £257.36 + £4339 instead of the correct pound (GBP) value, £257.36 + £43.39. Obviously a huge difference!
If I try to change the GBp value to be GBP, it affects the whole column because it is in the table, i.e. Apple becomes £25,736.00.
Does anyone have any idea how I may go about addressing this?
J. Taylor.
Hi Jason
Do you have a currency column? then you could do and if formula so GBX/100
Can you attach an example workbook so we can take a look?
