Good day every-ALL,

I hope to have some help from the experts here please?

I am currently working in an excel document wherein I have to manually input the complete address with state/municipality in one cell and zip code in another cell.

What I want to accomplish is that, as soon as I type the complete address in the cell with state/municipality, the zip code cell will detect that certain word (state/municipality) and will automatically display the corresponding ZIP CODE.

I already have a list of State/Municipality in column 1 with the corresponding Zip Code in Column 2.

I have experimented on all VLOOKUP, ISNUMBER combinations but to no avail. All I get is the value, FALSE, blank, or error in formula.

I shall appreciate all forms of assistance.

Hi Marcus!

I believe I have the answer you seek! It is an array formula so you will want to hit ctrl+shift+enter if you have excel 2019 or lower. Cool
