Somebody asked me this question, and after some investigation I couldn't find a solution, so that's why I'm here with the question.
She made some buttons with some actions on the quick access toolbar.
First with Alt-1, second Alt-2, etc.
After the nine she wanted some more and made some with Alt-01, Alt-02 etc.
But the zero is ignored and doesn't work as it seems. So there only seem to be 10 buttons available this way.
Is that correct? Or is there another way to make this work?
It makes no difference with normal numbers or keypad numbers and such.
Thanks!
Hi Frans
As far as I am aware, Excel will allocate the ALT 1 to 9, ALT 01 to 09 and then 0A, 0B, 0C etc automatically to the shortcuts/macros you added to the QAT.
So there can be more than 10 buttons.
Refer attachment.

Thanks Sunny for this reply!
So we think it's possible. What can be the fault, because it doesn't seem to work? As far as I know now there are little macro's behind the buttons, who color some rows and such. So no rocket science. But it seems something interferes? Where do we have to look? Any ideas?
Hi Frans
I have no idea why yours didn't work
I have created 15 buttons and did encounter any problem running the macros using the ALT keys.
When you hold the ALT key only, what was displayed on the buttons on the QAT? It may give you some clues.
Does it look something like the attachment I gave you?
Sunny
First I didn't do it myself, it's a question somebody else asked me.
And yes: I think the way it looks is the same (see attachment).
I suggested updating to the most recent versions of the Windows and Excel versions.
And as I understood it's someone in Belgium, they work there with a AZERTY keyboard. Maybe there is something wrong with that setting.
I now got the different quick buttons and I will try it myself on my computer and see if that works.
So I'll be back with the result of these investigations. Strange thing this one.
