Hello, I stumbled upon your answer here when searching for why I am not getting a dialogue box while grouping dates in my pivot table. The dates should be formatted correctly as dates (00/00/0000). Whenever I click "group" it will insert a group header "Group1" in my pivot table but no dialogue box appears. What am I doing incorrectly here? Thank you in advance.

Hi Julie,
It sounds like you're selecting multiple cells containing the dates before you right-click. You only need to select one date cell, then right-click > group.
