Is the "Data Mining Add-in for Excel" a product that has been made obsolete by newer tools like Power BI, Power Query, and Power Pivot... or is it yet another one of those "hot" topics that I've never heard of. (Like Excel's Fuzzy Lookup)
I don't see a single mention of it on My Online Training Hub.
I've downloaded it and installed it on Excel 2016 and it looks interesting.

Yep, this has been superseded by Power Query 🙂
While you may have been able to install it, it's not supported for Excel 2016.
