Hello community...I am new here and am seeking some advice.
I updated my OS from Windows 8 to 10 on Lenovo Ideapad 110s 11 , after this whenever I open Microsoft Office Excel 2016 an error message pops out saying that it is not able to start correctly. How to overcome this?
Thanks very much in advance for all your help.

This is guessing for me. Do the other Office 2016 products work normal? Is there more information on the error message? Does the Lenovo has enough memory etc.? Did you try looking for some answers at the Microsoft site itself?

Sorry to hear of your problems, but maybe this gives a direction to solve them.

Hi,

Without any details it is diificult to narrow it down, but here are some tips and advises.

If you have O365, try this tool. https://diagnostics.outlook.com/#/

There are lots of different guides you can look up and try out, one of many is this guide.

It is always better to do a clean install. If you can then do a clean W10 installation and install Office suite or Excel again.

Good luck.

/Anders

Try "repairing" Office. Go to your program/app list (in Control Panel or Settings), click on Microsoft Office, select Change/Modify, and you should be offered a Repair option.

1) Start Excel in safe mode and verify whether issue re-occurs
        Hold Windows key + R
Copy and paste, or type the following command in the Open box, and then press Enter:
Excel /safe
Note: There is space between Excel and /
2) Delete contents from XLSTART folder and check if it works.
C:Program FilesMicrosoft OfficeOffice12XLSTART
3) Uncheck DDE for Excel and then try starting Excel and verify the result.

Open Excel, click on the Office buttonExcel OptionsAdvancedGeneral and uncheck Ignore other applications that use Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE).
