Hi Everyone!

I'm Using Excel 2019 (Version 2102, Build 13801.20360).

When I try to insert a map chart it constantly says "There was a problem getting the information for your map chart. Make sure you're online and try again."

I am obviously online. Besides, as i copy and modify a map chart from a downloaded samples, it keeps working and updating for a couple of minutes. after a while, the same message and it stops working.

Can anyone help please?!

Thanks in advance.

Hi Mojtaba,

Welcome to our forum!

I've not seen that error before, but based on what you describe, all I can think is there is an interruption to your internet connection preventing the map chart from connecting to the Bing data.

You say 'I am obviously online' but didn't expand on why it's obvious and your screenshot doesn't show that you have logged in to Microsoft 365.

Hi Mynda

First of all I have to thank you for your great website and all that stuff your share us through various channels including emails.

I said "Obviously online" because at the same time i man browsing different websites including yours, downloading stuff and using mt4 platform which needs alive connection.

Does Map Charts on excel 2019 need office 365 account? or does it relate to my IP? (in recent years we have got used to many features from different websites not working in Iran 🙂

I have attached another screenshot that shows this error persists while i am pinging your website and refreshing the map chart simultaneously.

Thanks for your kind help.Error-Message-1.png

Hi Mojtaba,

Thanks for clarifying. You don't need an Office 365 account with Excel 2019 to use Map Charts, but I wonder if there is an IP limitation. Map charts use the Bing maps service to map the data. You could test to see if you can navigate to this site. Otherwise, you could make sure you're logged into Excel and see if that makes any difference. Otherwise, I'm out of ideas, sorry.

Hello,

I would do a repair on the Office installation. If that doesn’t help, do an uninstall and after a computer restart install Office again. If the problem is still there, consider to reinstall Windows OS.
