Hi everybody. In attached file a simplified dataset. It must be enough to make a bar graphic but with only two colors (one for the minus parts and one for the plus parts). I overlook something, because can't get it working. Even after rearranging the data or making a pivot table from it.

Anyone?

EDIT: of course (?) not 2 color bars, but all the bars only in the 2 colors for the - and the + different. Hope this is clear?

Hi Frans,

I'm not sure I'm picturing what you want correctly, but in the attached file I inserted a Pivot Chart based on a rearranged version of your PivotTable.

Let me know if you meant something else.

Well, almost! 🙂 Thanks!

I need to have all the negative specs on the left site of the graph and all the positive ones on the right site. The colors are right now! So that's a big improvement. Any hints for the final part?

Hi Frans,

Make the negative spec values negative. Change it to a bar chart and make the axis label position Low and make the overlap 100%.

Here is another try with a column chart with some helper columns. If I need different colors, I will normally create different series.

Hope this helps.

And otherwise, I know this place 🙂

Thanks very much, so fine to see the help and possible solutions here!

Well the solution Sunny provided is exactly what I meant for this case. And I had seen this kind of solution (think in a video from Mynda), but couldn't replicate it.

Thanks Sunny!
