I am running Office 365 ProPlus version 1808 (semi-annual channel). I have it set up to update and automatically install updates but my version doesn't seem to be up to date. For example, I don't have the Notes feature with comments. What do I need to do to get the most up to date version? Thanks.

Hello Anne,

For getting latest features you need to be on the monthly update channel. More about the differences here.

Do you know if there are differences in language versions, regarding to these update schedules? I thought the localised versions also had a different update pattern, but can't find that information on that Microsoft site.

Hello,

The Office suite is in its core American English, same with Windows 10. The different languages are just added/installed language packs. So there are no differences in regards to update channels due to languages.

Languages available in O365: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/what-languages-is-office-available-in-26d30382-9fba-45dd-bf55-02ab03e2a7ec#ID0EAACAAA=Windows_Desktop

You can join Office Insider to get the latest updates. https://insider.office.com/en-us/join

Thanks for all that. There isn't an Insider option on my account settings in any of my programmes....??

Hello,

That is correct, as you have ProPlus version you have an enterprise product, so the setting for Office Insider is available for the administrator. You can find more information about that in below link.
