Hi All,

I have this problem and after many days I can't figure out the solution.
See attachment (2 sheets) 1 with formula for 1 symbol, 1 strategy, other sheet is multiple symbols and strategies;
(In my table the last row is the first result so the counting of drawdown starts there)

Theory

After a loss, the Drawdown starts counting
When the sum of results column (W/L) >0 then Drawdown returns 0
Then, when a loss occurs again, Drawdown starts sum up, till it is made up by winners, and again returns a 0.

Problem

When more Symbols and strategies in a table, I can't figure out the right formula.

Regarding Excel 2019. If solution is within Power Query I will take it as well but please no VBA.

Hopefully someone here can.

Really appreciate it.

Hi Jessica.

Almost. As an example, if you look at row 71 NZDJPY Strategy 1 it shows -25 which is correct.
But if you look at row 69 NZDJPY Strategy 1 it still shows -25 while it should be -50 and row 67 should be -75.
It seems it does not sum up if cells are not exactly below each other.

I'm not that gerat with formulas but my idea would be a macro or one or more helper columns maybe
But since you haven't told us which Office version you're using I don't know if you could use the new functions which exist in 365 and 2021

I think your best bet is Power Query, I'm trying to get something worked up for you but I have been slammed. My thinking is to group all rows by symbols and strategies and calculate that way. I'm sorry, it may take me a few days to actually have time to work up a mockup, though.
