Please see attached screen shots form How to Build Power BI Reports from Start to Finish of data not conforming. Tried to change type to English Austriua but get errors as seen in the attachments. Are there local settings I need to change in my Power BI ?

Hi Gregory,

Welcome to our forum! There's no file attached. Please click the 'start upload' button after choosing your file to upload.

That said, I suspect you haven't removed the very first changed type step in the query before trying to change type using locale.

Hi Gregory,

Thanks for the screenshots. You need to perform the Changed Type > using Locale step in the 'Sample Query'.

Sorry to be a pain but still having issues. See attached Word doc. Where is the Sample Query you mentioned? Also, another error when I change the $$ column number format to match yours.

I finally figured it out and corrected the errors. FYI I changed and corrected the date and currency in the Transform Sample File under Helper Queries. Did not understand where was the Sample Query but now I know. Thanks for your help.
