I want to create a pivot table that will count the number of times the values in the first column occur in a workbook. My workbook has eight worksheets (tabs), and the first column in all worksheets is CLASSSTRUCTUREID.
Is this possible?

Consider loading the date for each of the sheets into the Data Model. Relate all of them to each other via a table with unique CLASS id's and create a Power Pivot table from there. (Note: only available in Excel for Windows. Not for the Mac!).
Would be helpful if you could upload an example file (remove any confidential information) with your sheets/tables. Then we don't have to create a mock-up from scratch.
