I NEED A FORMULA THAT WILL SHOW IMPROVING, CONSTANT, DROPPING.
THANKS VERY MUCH IN ADVANCE
Hi Meyanui
It would help if you can provide us your expected result. Without knowing that, I can only make a guess.
Please refer to the attachment for 3 types of comparison.
To show such progress, I would normally include a chart as it is easier to visualize. I would use a sparkline but I believe you are using Excel 2003 (since your file extension is xls) or below and this feature is not available.
Hope this helps.
Sunny
Thank you Sunny. Is there a possibility of putting the three averages and making a comment or the remark
Hi Meyanui
If you are referring to the result, then just cut which ever you want and paste it into column G (Remarks)
It would be good if you can give an example of what you expect the result to be.
Sunny
I was thinking of some conditional formatting with the colors green (improving), yellow (constant) and red (dropping). But I'm not sure if this is available in the older Excel versions?
Hi Frans
As far as I can remember, Excel 2003 (I hope this is the version you are using) can support up to 3 conditions (plus a default, if none of the 3 conditions are met).
Oh no a misunderstanding: I'm using 2013 and 2016/365, but I wondered because the guy who asked it probably used the 2003 version as you noticed yourself 🙂
For me no problems! Luckily!
Ok. 🙂
