I am looking for a good book on business budgeting and forecasting using Excel or any online courses on this topic that someone can recommend.
I studied budgeting many years ago as part of my accounting degree , but am a bit rusty.
There is so much available and one needs to make sure one buys the right book or attend an online course that will add value
It would be appreciated if someone could advise me

Great question! I'm not aware of any course specifically on budgeting and forecasting using Excel. We have a Financial Modelling course, which might be more than you're after.
Otherwise, I can't think of any, sorry.

The AICPA or IMA web sites have good self study continuing education courses on budgeting. If you are in the United States, the local IMA chapter in your area might be able to guide you better. None of the courses I've taken in the past will give you an excel template, but will enhance or expand your understanding of the budgeting process.

Hi Howard,
Looks like a good overall course. I think it's more focused on the accounting fundamentals of budgeting as opposed to teaching Excel, but I'd say it'll have some Excel content and comes with 12 templates/worksheets.

Thanks Mynda. It appealed to me. I studied budgeting as part of my accounting degree many years ago and would like to do a curse on the practical aspects of budgeting. Your financial modelling course also appeals to me and is on my bucket list
I wanted to buy his book, but the delivery charges were exhorbitant. Unfortunately it is not available as an E-book
